The tournament management reserves the right to make rule changes at any time, even during the ongoing tournament, if necessary. The tournament management informs all participants in a timely manner about any changes of any kind. If, after a change in the rules, a situation arises where a previous action is now considered a rule violation, it will not be penalized.Smurfing and participating in the tournament with a secondary account are not allowed and result in disqualification, both for the secondary account and the main account.

1.2 Team Name, Slogan and Icon
Each team should ideally choose its own team name and an icon. The following rules apply to the selection:
The team name, slogan and icon:
-
- Must not be offensive.
- Must not be racist, morally reprehensible, culturally hostile, or inappropriate.
- Must not contain the names of other players unless they have given their approval.
- The name should not exceed a maximum character length of 25
- The icon should not exceed a size of 256×256.
If any of these points are not met, the tournament management will first contact the affected team. In case of doubt, the tournament management reserves the right to modify the name or not allow the team to participate in the tournament. If the team name is too long, it will be shortened in the tournament bracket representation.

1.3 Tournament Period
The Spring Tournament 2026 starts on April 20 and is scheduled to run until May 31, 2026. All matches are to be completed within the specified deadlines (see Section 2.7.1 and Section 2.8.1).
1.4 Tournament Management
In this year’s SpringTournament, the tournament management consists of a8w h4t and barbara27h. For any questions or uncertainties, please contact the tournament management. To ensure the smoothest possible flow of the tournament, the tournament management reserves the right to adjust the rules and possibly add special rules during the tournament. The tournament management has the final word in all matters!
The tournament is also supported by volunteers handling communications and live streams. They will announce in advance which games they will be streaming. They are in direct contact with the tournament management.

1.5 Netiquette
All tournament participants, the tournament management and all other members of the Siedelwood Discord are to be treated with respect all the time. In addition to the rules contained in this document, the general rules of the Siedelwood Discord also apply. Constructive criticism, posted either in the discussion channel or directly communicated to the tournament management, is explicitly encouraged and serves the continuous improvement and future tournaments.
1.6 Handling of Violations
Insults and taunts between any parties on the tournament Discord, in-game, or in voice chat will be assessed internally by the team and penalized by tournament organizers, depending on the nature and circumstances of the incident. The same applies to unsportsmanlike conduct before, during, and after the match.
Any circumvention of the tournament rules will be strictly and promptly penalized to prevent delays in the tournament’s progress.
Depending on the severity of the violation, a warning or immediate disqualification may be issued. Should a second incident occur after a warning has already been issued, this will also result in disqualification.
Both a warning and a disqualification applies to the entire team.

1.7 Gentlemen‘s Agreements
Teams are free to agree on additional restrictions during a match. These restrictions must not override the specified map rules and must be communicated to the tournament management before the start of the game and approved by them. Violations of additional restrictions agreed upon in consensus before the game will not be sanctioned by the tournament management.
1.8 Player Dropouts
If a player from a team drops out during the tournament (from November 25, 2024, onwards) and a replacement is found, the replacement player may take the place of the departed player under the following conditions:
-
- The tournament management must be informed and must approve in advance.
- The player must not have been disqualified.

2. Game
2.1 Server Side Settings
All games are played on Kimichura’s Settlers 6 multiplayer server. Games not played on this server will be considered unplayed (see Section 2.4).
2.2 Desyncs & Technical Errors
If an error occurs that prevents the match from continuing, all participants must first attempt to reload the game state. If this does not resolve the issue, the match must be replayed on the same map using the same mode. The usual deadlines also apply to the replay.
If the problem occurred due to gross negligence on the part of a team, that team automatically loses. If the match has not been decided by the deadline, the rules for unplayed matches apply.
2.3 Post Match Review
The tournament management is entitled to review already played games upon request. This may be necessary if no member of the tournament management could spectate the match live or if there were discrepancies in the game.

2.4 Scheduling
Deadlines will be announced after the registration deadline, once the group distribution is known and integrated into the rule set. The tournament management will attempt to organize groups based on the times provided by the teams and provide an overview of possible dates. If games are not played within the specified period, the team with significantly higher availability will be declared the winner. If no clear decision can be made:
-
- in the group stage, no points will be awarded for the game.
- in the knockout phase, both teams will be eliminated, and a loser from a previous match will advance.
2.5 Maps und Modes
2.5.1 Standard Maps and Standard Mode
The 4 tournament maps (all 2v2) are included in the standard map pool, which you can view here on the Siedelwood map page or on the tournament Discord.
The following options are set as the standard mode:
-
- “More Resources” is disabled
- “Destroy Enemy Main Building” is enabled
- “Achieve Archduke Title” is enabled
- “Capture Enemy City” is disabled
2.5.2 Map and Mode Selection
Teams are free to mutually agree on one of the 2v2 maps.
Teams may also agree to enable additional options in the lobby. Additionally, supplementary gentlemen’s agreements are permitted (see Section 1.7).
In principle, each player is free to choose their hero; however, two different heroes must always be selected within a team.
If the teams agree on a map, the activation of additional options, a gentlemen’s agreement, or several of the previous settings, the tournament organizers must be notified by both teams in advance. If no agreement can be reached, a random map will be selected from the standard map pool immediately before the match begins and played in standard mode.
If you notice any errors while testing the maps, please report them immediately to the mapper or the tournament management so they can be fixed! If it turns out that you deliberately fail to report a bug in order to exploit it in-game, your victory may be revoked.

3 Tournament Organization
Depending on the number of participating teams, the tournament will be divided into one or two phases:
If there are fewer than 6 teams, there will be only a final round. (see Section 3.1)
If there are 6 or more teams, there will be a group stage and a knockout round. (see Sections 3.2 and 3.3)
3.1 Final Round
The final round begins when the tournament starts on April 20, 2026, and ends on May 31, 2026. Matches in the final round that take place outside this period will not count.
All teams will be grouped together, and each team will play against every other team.
A team receives 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. A match is considered a draw if both teams agree, in consultation with the tournament organizers, to abandon the match (e.g., no winner after the iron has been used up). If two teams have the same number of points at the end of the final round, the team that won the head-to-head match against the other team will be ranked higher. If the head-to-head match was a draw, the ranking will be decided by random draw.
3.2 Group Stage
The group stage begins when the tournament starts on April 20, 2026, and ends on May 17, 2026. Group stage matches played outside this period will not count.
The groups will be announced after the registration deadline and posted here on Siedelwood in the schedule as well as on the Siedelwood Discord.
Teams will be evenly distributed among the groups based on their strength.
A team receives 3 points for each win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. A match is considered a draw if both teams agree, in consultation with the tournament organizers, to abandon the match (e.g., no winner after the iron has been exhausted). If two teams have the same number of points at the end of the group stage, the team that won the head-to-head match against the other team will be ranked higher. If the head-to-head match was a draw, the ranking will be decided by random draw.
3.3 Knockout Stage
The knockout stage begins on May 18, 2026, and ends on May 31, 2026. Matches in the knockout stage that take place outside this period will not be counted.
Depending on the number of participating teams, the knockout stage will be conducted in a single- or double-elimination format. Details regarding the format of the knockout round will be announced by the tournament organizers during the group stage and included in the rules.
The final will additionally be played in a “best-of-three” format.
In principle, no draws are possible in the knockout round. However, since a draw can still occur on an AeK map in special cases, a second match must be played on an RdO map in such instances.
